We were all very excited to venture into the culinary world of Provo, me especially because I didn’t have to cook any of the meals and I could be a restaurant guest… Finally! Well, that’s not the whole truth, I did cook one evening I made a simple meal which consisted of me teaching Greg how to make roasted balsamic vegetables and pasta pomodoro with salad. I do have one suggestion… DON”T drink “rum punches” all day and then try to cook while on vacation… it doesn’t work!
This is the list of restaurants we went to and our group opinion over all … some good and one not so good! We chose to watch the sunset with champange and laughs at Magnolia, we had a great time in the bar that night and noticed how nice the terrace was, so we decided the next night we would try dinner. Pauline in the bar is a great asset for Magnolia, as well as the server assistants. The owner and manager are A WHOLE OTHER STORY.
The island is better known as “Provo” to those who frequent or live there and after you have been to “Provo” you would dream to make it your home. Our arrival was as if nothing had changed in the last 4 years, check in at immigration which took no time at all except we sat in the back of the plane, so we were last , but on the good side we didn’t have to wait for our luggage. My friend Greg arrived an hour plus before us and to no surprise he knew everyone by the exit , so when we came thru the gates the party had already started.
Getting a rental car is by far the best deal because if you like to pay $20 or more for a one way taxi 4 miles think again, our car was about $300 plus , but I go everywhere and don’t depend on a taxi. The funny thing is we got a car with a cracked winshield so make sure you have them document the shape the car is in and sign it. The excitement of being on the island again was so overwhelming and I was so excited to show Greg this place we could not pass up a perfect Rum Punch from “Junior”at Bay Bistro at the Sibonne Hotel. Finally Paradise.
Since we’ve been in the restaurant at Scott’s traveling anywhere has been nonexistant except to Vero Beach occasionally, soooooo this little adventure driving to Miami and leaving from the airport there was very nerving. I can’t believe how inconsiderate people are in airports and everyone scrambling around like crazed rats, what about the people who travel for a living OMG they must be in therapy weekly. Since when did the phrase “Hello, may I help you” become a foriegn language. At least the plane took off on time and they didn’t charge me an extra fee for smiling.
